As we accelerate the commercialization of our AI-powered EDA software already transforming how Fortune 500 companies build hardware, we're making strategic investments in our leadership team. These exceptional leaders from Microsoft, Palantir, and Meta will help scale our ambitious mission with Normal EDA today and advance Normal ASICs to solve the world's AI energy problem.
Joining the Normal Team
Erik Meijer – VP of Engineering
Erik brings a rare combination of academic depth and industry experience to Normal, where he is driving technical excellence across the stack. He’s tackling foundational challenges like formal modeling, compiler design, and system coordination to help scale Normal EDA and advance Normal ASICs. Previously at Meta, Erik founded and led the Probability group. His past work includes creating reactive programming (Rx), developing LINQ at Microsoft, and contributing to the foundations of functional programming.
Cameron Wendt – Head of Communications
Cameron leads Normal’s Communications, Brand, and Marketing strategy, with a focus on Go-to-Market execution and External Engagement. He helps translate Normal’s deep technical work into compelling narratives for customers, partners, and the broader ecosystem. Before joining, he spent 11 years at Palantir, where he led Global Communications and built and lead multiple functions, including Customer Experience (CX), Internal Comms, Events, and Learning & Development (L&D). He founded and scaled Palantir’s CX team and led messaging for the company’s Leadership and Brand as it grew to over 4,000 employees.
Arvind Srinivasan – Product Engineering Lead
Arvind is shaping Normal’s engineering architecture to support rapid EDA deployments and the complex path of bringing Normal ASICs from lab to fab. His leadership helps ensure technical rigor and production readiness while the company scales. He brings a strong track record of designing reliable, high-performance systems and leading teams that operate across both software and hardware domains.
Prashant – Staff Product Manager
Prashant focuses on delivering 10x improvements in operational efficiency for semiconductor customers. At Normal, he is leading market expansion for Normal EDA and helping to shape commercial strategy for Normal ASICs. He previously scaled Xbox Cloud Gaming to billions of users and launched Microsoft’s Industrial Spatial Computing platform, deploying complex systems at global scale.
Hanna Yip – Product Manager, Normal EDA
Hanna is building AI-powered design and verification tools that Fortune 500 semiconductor teams can rely on. Her goal is to make advanced automation accessible and impactful, helping the industry manage growing silicon complexity. She brings deep experience in enterprise software and hardware acceleration and is focused on delivering value from day one.
The Growing Talented Team
These leaders join a team that is scaling fast. Normal now includes more than 45 engineers, researchers, and operators based in New York, San Francisco, London, and Copenhagen. The team draws talent from Google Brain, Google X, Meta, Palantir, IBM Research, UC Berkeley, NVIDIA, and Intel. Our expertise spans thermodynamics, silicon design, probabilistic programming, compiler development, analog hardware, and ML infrastructure. Together, we’re building the next generation of computing to solve AI’s energy bottleneck and unlock new levels of performance and efficiency.
Why We're Investing Now
With Normal EDA gaining traction among leading semiconductor companies and with our Normal ASICs first tape-out in June, this leadership expansion represents a critical investment in our ability to execute on both fronts. These leaders bring the exact expertise needed to scale our AI software business while preparing for the commercialization of our groundbreaking thermodynamic ASICs.
Rethinking Semiconductors from the Ground Up
Normal EDA: We're building mathematical and physical intelligence to accelerate hardware innovation. Our AI systems help Fortune 500 companies scale new hardware and enable faster time-to-market by designing and verifying hardware logic from specifications alone.
Normal ASICs: We're developing thermodynamic computing at the energy limits of artificial reasoning. Our stochastic processing units promise to deliver custom silicon with 1000x more intelligence per unit of energy, addressing the reality that AI energy demands will require gigawatt data centers within 5 years.
With $35M in seed funding and selection for the UK's £50M ARIA Scaling Compute Programme, our expanding team across NYC, SF, London, and Copenhagen is positioned to deliver on our mission.
